Engineer company participates in ropes training in Oklahoma City
In these images released by the Texas Military Forces, Soldiers from the 836th Engineer Company participate in a collapsed structure extraction exercise in Oklahoma City, Okla., Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011. In addition to its deployed combat mission, the National Guard unit, headquartered in Kingsville, Texas, also trains for stateside emergency situations. Along with other units in Joint Task Force 71, the 836th periodically participates in such training to maximize interoperability when activated to augment civilian public safety entities.
